INTERVIEW PT. 2 : OPINIONS.
this is what my ex/current bf/gf, josh, thinks of me.
"i don't currently have a significant other. i don't really have a history of them either, but i did date this one guy back in america when i was sixteen. his name was josh and he was really sweet. he thought i was very perceptive and he liked my 'ability to see through facades' whatever that means. i used to be fun to be around too, he thought so at least. the only reason the two of us broke up was because he moved across the country, to washington. we both decided that a relationship that distanced was no use. we still talk online and stuff, though."
this is what my best friend, marie, thinks of me.
"marie and i were the best of friends back in atlantic city. we shopped at the outlet mall together and we'd sit at the cafe's on the boardwalk and just talk. among all the materialistic people down there in the big city, marie was a diamond in the rough. she had just moved there when i was about eight. she was from a smaller town in pennsylvania and everything was so new to her. she and i got along very well ... she was someone who i could talk to all night long and find that it was enough for the both of us. we didn't need excitement or anything. just each other as friends."
this is what my mom/dad/cousin, aunt jonie, thinks of me.
"the reason i moved is ... complicated. but i have no mum, dad, and i never had a sibling or cousin. i live with aunt jonie now, an eccentric woman who lives in a very small house. it's almost a shack, really, but somehow she made room for me. sure i miss the malls and stuff, but after what happened everything like that seems so unimportant. aunt jonie thinks i am hiding my grief and she wants me to attend counseling, but she doesn't make me. i go only to make her happy, and i think its working. she's a nice lady, really, though i never knew her before the day i moved in."
INTERVIEW PT. 3 : RELATIONSHIPS.
who was your last boyfriend/girlfriend? "josh, he was the only one too."
how and when did you meet? "we met at a cafe by the beach, i was studying for class and he was getting a biscotti. did i mention i love those?"
favorite moment with that person, "as dreary as it sounds, my favorite has to be our break-up. he was so understanding when i suggested the idea since he was moving. i think i loved him even more then than ever, simply because he just understood. he didn't question, he took my decision for all it was."
describe the first kiss, "oh goodness, my first kiss was ... well, pretty uneventful. josh and i had gone to see a movie down at the local cinema. it was a child's movie, haha, sort of. the movie 9, it was awesome. toward the end, when the credits began to play and the lights came on, he just leaned over and kissed me. it was not some tongue-kiss either- just a sweet peck. i loved it just the same."
and finally, tell us your favorite thing about he/she, "the thing i loved most about josh was that he was so understanding. he was ... trusting. he never asked questions and he just went with the flow. he trusted my decisions and he never doubted why i did what i did."
INTERVIEW PT. 4 : FAMILY BACKGROUND & THE ETC.
who are your parents? "my mum is faye forrest, she is thirty nine and ... she's in jail. my father is joseph forrest and he died at age forty. he used to be a manager of this office store."
who are your siblings? "i never had siblings ... haha. only child!"
history,
margo anne forrest was born as the only child of faye and joseph forrest. their family was settling down in atlantic city, faye being a jersey shore girl and joseph not minding the salt air. so from birth, margo was destined to be one of those materialistic, sterotypical shore girls. right? well, at first it would seem so. margo grew up near outlets and she grew up with a middle class comfortability. she wore good clothes, she had the best of friends. despite being materialistic, people there seemed to be genuine. oh sure, there were always those who were shallow and judgemental, but margo had found her place before very long. she was a happy kid, though home was an entire different story from her social life.
faye forrest had problems. she was mental, really. she had medications, but she was still borderline safe to be around. margo was very quiet around her, and she didn't associate with her much. joseph was closer to his daughter, keeping the peace in the household. not that margo would dare break it herself. it was one day when margo was seventeen, the day her mother completely lost it. margo was watching myth busters with her father when her mother ... well, stabbed him. she killed him right there. margo was stunned, and she was petrified. she hid, feeling like a coward but not knowing what else to do.
her mother was convicted and put in jail. she won't be getting out anytime soon. margo has no worries about her, but now she has moved in with her aunt jonie, a boisterous and very poor woman. she lives in a small home, and she works at a local supermarket. she is an artist and she is happy. margo doesn't mind the lack of money much, though she misses having comfort. being able to buy what she wanted. aunt jonie showed a lot of care to margo, who had a hard time reciprocating. she had a hard time with a lot. lost and confused, now in a new town, margo isn't sure what is going on anymore. she just started her freshman year on college, and she goes home on the weekends every now and then, but she is overall ... changed. lost. confused. weary of everything.
anything else you'd like to say? "i hope things change here."
